‘…Government wants to see all social landlords offer opportunities to tenants to get involved. Under the Homes and Communities Agency’s national involvement and Empowerment Standard, registered providers are required to offer opportunities for tenants to get involved, including supporting the formation, and on-going activities, of tenants panels. This recognises the opportunities that tenant panels offer in helping landlords to deliver improved services, better value for money, and improved decision making as well as acting as an advocate for tenants and helping to resolve tenant problems locally…’
